Day 15 - Bluebird - Gold Grande

Welcome to Day 15 of the 30 Days of Design! This listing is for the GRANDE. 

When you design 30 different pieces in 30 days, there’s one part nobody really thinks about. You get to name all 30 of them. And naming them requires an entirely different part of my brain than designing them.

You can spend hours choosing the beads, changing one tiny detail, taking it apart, putting it back together, and then suddenly someone asks, “What are we calling it?” And my mind goes completely blank.

It’s a little like naming your children. Obviously not remotely as important, and thankfully no one has to carry the name around for the rest of their life, but still, you want it to fit and feel right. And after you’ve already named hundreds and hundreds of pieces over the years, finding something that hasn’t already been used becomes its own Olympic event.

Today’s took me down a rabbit hole. But I finally landed on Bluebird.

Last year, I stumbled across a show called Nashville. I don’t watch shows like a normal person. I don’t do one episode a week and then just carry on with my life. I find a show I love and basically put everything on hold until I’ve watched every episode ever made. 

That’s exactly what happened when I stumbled across Nashville, and for a while there I was spending more time at the Bluebird Café than some of the actual characters.So when I needed a name for today’s design, Bluebird it was. And just like that, approximately 100 hours of television became research.

DAY 15 GOLD GRANDE: This bracelet pairs rich peacock-blue Czech glass with warm gold metal. The Czech glass beads have an elongated, sculpted teardrop shape with subtle fluting that catches the light beautifully, mixed with smaller round blue Czech glass accents. The substantial gold beads are cast brass, giving the bracelet that organic, slightly irregular shape, and 18k gold-plated spacers finish the design between each element.

And finally, in my quest to figure out whether or not anyone reads the description, I thought we would play a little trivia game for a little bonus gift. For what it’s worth, I’m trying to find something that you can’t google. Makes it more fun/challenging. We used to have a quote on the walls when you walked into Rustic cuff. One scripture verse and one quote. If you purchase today’s design, and can name either the verse or the quote, I will include an extra design in your shipment when these go out today or tomorrow!
