Day 26 - Tennessee Rose Grande

Last week on Rustic Cuff, we released a collection celebrating Dolly Parton, so I thought it would be fun to do a couple of pieces in the Jill Donovan Collection as a little nod to someone who had such an impact on me.

I had the chance to meet Dolly in 2014 when she came to the Hard Rock in Tulsa. What I remember most about meeting her was how completely engaged she was in our conversation. She gave me her full attention and talked to me like we had known each other for years. It was only a few minutes, but I walked away understanding exactly why so many people who met her loved her.

So for Day 26, meet Tennessee Rose.

Grande: For the Tennessee Rose Grande, we used the same rhodochrosite that I fell in love with while designing the Wholehearted Collection. I’m still completely obsessed with it. I love all the different shades of pink, but mostly because this isn’t a perfect, predictable pink. There is a whole world going on inside every stone.

We paired the larger rhodochrosite stones with substantial cast brass beads and 18k gold-plated spacers. I especially love the weight of the larger stones next to the cast brass as it just feels really good on your wrist!
