Day 8 - Paros SET
Welcome to Day 8 of 30 Days of Design!
Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. I’m glad you came back today!
Side note: We had an overwhelming amount of orders for the Turquoise: The Real Deal. Most of the orders have been shipped out, but if yours has not, please know that it will be shipped either today or tomorrow. Also, I’m excited for everyone who was able to get the Unicorn from yesterday before it sold out. I think you are going to enjoy that one.
I’m not sure whether everyone reads the description here, but I hope you do because many times I give the reason why I designed the particular cuff or set for the day. Today is a fun one!
When we did the first 30 Days of Design back in March/April, I named one of the days, “Meet Me in Greece.” At that time, I had no idea that few months later we would get to go to a small island and actually enjoy their wonderful country and a little island called PAROS.
Maybe I should make one of the days this time, “Meet Me in Switzerland” since that is definitely the top of my list of places I would like to visit. Squirrel.
if you ask me what my very favorite thing about Greece was, it was, hands down, walking in the clearest water searching for rocks. Not just any rocks. Rocks that seemed to come alive when I picked them up. I brought home enough rocks to start a rock company. (With the permission of the mayor of the island and several other important government officials. Maybe.)
And that is where today’s design started. I could not get over the blues in Greece. The water, the sky, all of it. It was blue on top of blue on top of blue, and somehow none of it was the same blue. So today I went all in. The bluest blues to take us right back to that water.
No matter where today finds you, I hope these blues bring a little bit of that clear Greek water to your wrist and maybe a little extra joy to your Monday.
Today is sold as a Set only.
PAROS I Deep cobalt blue faceted Czech glass beads are paired with substantial cast brass beads and hematite spacers. The faceting catches the light and brings out different shades of blue depending on how you look at it. Finished with the JD logo tag and sent in signature Jill Donovan packaging.
PAROS II
Rich cobalt and turquoise Czech glass beads are mixed with 24k gold-plated tubes and 24k gold disc spacers. The glass beads have incredible detail, with etched gold accents that make the blues stand out even more against the gold. Finished with the JD logo tag and sent in signature Jill Donovan packaging.
